Delhi tour for the TTS students

On request by the Tibetan Transit school (TTS) students to help them to visit some of the well known sites in Delhi on their last few days stay at Delhi after their completion of their course, Envision not only helped them in arranging their tour but also assigned one of their staff to assist them during the tour on 27 October 2009.

The Tibetan Transit School was established in 1993. It is a Charitable institution for the development of education and preservation of Tibetan Culture among Tibetan youth from Tibet. Every year TTS sends a group of students to Delhi to pursue short term course on computer and beside this to be familiarized with the Indian metro culture.

The tour covered some of the sites like, lotus temple, Rajghat, Gandhi Museum, India Gate, National Museum and Qutub Minar. Dorjee, actually from Tibet and a student of youth hostel of first year, assisted during the tour. There were 38 students who can barely speak Hindi. The tour bus moved from youth hostel around 9.00 in the morning for Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi and the Gandhi Museum located near was also visited conveniently. Apart from the Heritage tour the museums caught their attentions covering various sections of Indian history. However Qutub Minar fascinated them with its majestic height and beautiful surroundings. Lotus temple helped them to discover about contemporary Bahai religion. With much enthusiasm the tour ended at India gate around 5.30 in evening.
