Highlights:
The University of Delhi is one of the premier universities in India given its high standards of approach in teaching and research. The University came into establishment by an Act of Indian Government in 1922 as unitary teaching and residential university. The university functions in centralized nature having federal in structure composed of various governing and academic boards. The university began with modest of three colleges at initial stage and today it has grown into household name among the Delhites with network of covering over 80 colleges in two campuses.

Since the University offers various course of studies both in undergrate and post-graduate level, the need to have uniform reach of information and guidance among Tibetan students is necessity in a metropolitan cities like Delhi. Keeping this in mind, a student support services cell was created so as to meet up the challenges and thereby able to provide relevant guidance both in letter and spirit. The information services therefore will not be finite.
Admission – 2008 – General Category
The University of Delhi will begin this year admission from 2nd – 16th June provided with following admission centres in Delhi. The admission forms are available from these zone centers at the cost of Rs. 30/-.and submission needs to get done by this dateline. The declaration of admission will be done on cut off list where each of DU colleges has its own requirement of scaling percentage marks provided with particular combination of subject relevancy and needs. This will differ from college to college.

Scheduled Tribe & Scheduled Castes Admission Applicants.
In order to keep abreast of educational cares to underprivileged communities, the university offer special reservation of admission seats for them. This will be purely done on the centralized norms. Candidates has to submit original copy of ST/SC certificates for verification to be done at Faculty of Arts.
Foreign Students Admission Category:
University of Delhi also attracts many foreign nationals either through cultural relations or diplomatic channels. Inspite of high cut off list, University of Delhi has been kind and sympathetic to the plight of Tibetan cause and has been offering unrelenting support of admitting Tibetan students as a special case provided with relaxation of payment of fee as well..
a) One recent passport size photograph.
b) Two copies of attested XII board marksheet. (Internet download MS – not accepted)
c) Two copies of attested X board pass certificates having date of birth
d) Two attested copies of pass certificates or migration certificate will do
e) Tibetan subject marks will not considered.
f) No round off percentage scored.
g) Verification will be done at the before applying for admission.
h) All inputs should be correct as far possible.

TCV Scholarship Distribution Schemes: Overview
a) Admission fee - will be paid as per bill with ceiling of Rs. 20000.00
b) Rent - Rs. 600 per month
c) Maintenance - Rs. 900 per month – but should not exceed Rs. 1900 for both rent
and mess as if mandatory to stay in college hostel.
d) Pocket Money - Rs. 300 per month
e) Stationery - Rs. 1500 for undergraduate & post graduate degree program
- Rs. 2500 for B.Tech & B.Arch ( Per annum)
f) Clothing - Rs. 1000 per annum
